Chico

Chico is an 11lb male Chihuahua who came to us 9/10/09 at age 12. His owner had recently lost her husband unexpectedly. She had 2 dogs and had already found a home for one but still had Chico. When Chico nipped her small child she decided to find him a new home rather than leave him crated or separated by gates most of the time.

Chico is a sweet dog and very affectionate after you get to know him. He doesn’t have many teeth left which is typical with an old Chihuahua. The ones he does have are in the back, but he can still gum you pretty hard if he’s riled up. He can be dominant and bossy to the other dogs he spends his time with who are Shep, Waldo & Zou Zou. He loves taking walks on the trails and his favorite treats are Old Mother Hubbard really small biscuits in the just veggin’ flavor. He is a great snuggler and will kiss us nonstop for as long as we will let him.
