Zou-Zou

Zou Zou is a female blue Chihuahua weighing only 5 ½ lbs. She arrived here 8/10/09. A woman named Sandy had placed an ad looking for a home for a 12 yr old Chihuahua. When we see an ad like this, we reach out to make sure people know that we’re out here to help if needed. Sandy told us that Zou Zou was owned by her daughter for her whole life. When the daughter left her husband suddenly, she left the dog behind and Zou Zou came to live with Sandy. Sandy was raising another daughter’s child at her home and Zou Zou nipped her. Sandy also liked to travel out of state and Zou Zou did not like long car rides. She loved Zou Zou but thought it would be best to find her another home. She told us that an older gentleman had called about her as well, but she was apprehensive because of his age. I assured her that an older person and an older dog were a good match and that if something happened that she or the gentleman could contact us and we would help. Zou Zou lived with him for a short time, but he had a stroke and his family did not want to take responsibility for her so back to Sandy she went and then it was off to Mureille’s Place.

Zou Zou is a real sweetie who will lick you to death if you let her. She doesn’t have very many teeth left but loves soft treats. She enjoys laying in the sun and warming her old bones. She especially likes taking long naps snuggled under a blanket. She’s very small but keeps up with the rest of her playmates Shep, Waldo & Chico when we go for walks on the trails. She especially loves to be held like a baby and have her belly rubbed.
